Hello there, and a warm welcome to my blog. Here's a brief introduction: I'm a seventeen year old student who enjoys nature and doing crafts, and one who spends far too much of her time holed up in her house. I like to bake and try new foods, try to harness my lazy muse to write, and am currently attempting to learn how to knit and sow my own clothing.
But to be honest, the real reason why I'm here is to gain inspiration from others. There are so many wonderful, passionate and determined bloggers out there, who write about all their fantastic hobbies and activities, that I can't help but be inspired. And that's why I invite you to join me on this humble journey of discovery.
The name gentlemiss is far less smart and creative than it may sound. I was born in Malaysia and migrated to Australia when I was several months old, but my family is mainly of Chinese origin. I was given a Chinese name that means 'gentle'; I won't attempt to spell it out here. As a child I always thought that my name never suited me, but now that I'm older I hope that it is something I'll gain through experience. My older sister has always been my closest companion, and through the years I've had a great variety of nicknames, which are derived from our own inside jokes. It so happened that out of all the other random names I'd been given, 'Miss' is one that has stuck with me.
